No Business Hundred Race- Oct 19- Ham Operators needed

The No Business Hundred is a trail endurance race that begins and ends at the abandoned coal mining town, Blue Heron, just east of Stearns, KY. The course is a single 101.9 mile loop that traverses through the heart of the Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area across the state line into Tennessee and back on some of the oldest trails in the southeast.

The event organizers are recruiting individual ham radio operators to help with course communications - much like the Knoxville Marathon, but more challenging due to terrain and event duration.

The event begins on October 19. Information regarding the event and volunteer registration can be found here: http://www.nobusiness100.com/volunteers/
Ultranaut Running is a small, grass-roots organization located in Knoxville, Tennessee dedicated to the sport of trail running. Our mission is to promote participation in outdoor activities for a healthy lifestyle, be an advocate for the value of national/regional parks, and share our commitment to environmental stewardship.

Please distribute to hams in your area ... this can be an excellent real-world training activity for challenging communications. (I have the course and rest areas mapped on Google Earth if you have an interest in participating.)
